Youth Perspectives on Climate Damage Event - Queen's University X ESRC Festival of Social Science X NIHRC

November 10, 2021

Last week I had the pleasure of heading down to Belfast to take part in my first panel discussion! The event was part of the Queen's University's 'Youth Perspectives on Climate Damage Using Animation' event, in collaboration with the ESRC Festival of Social Science and the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission. The event explored youth attitudes to environmental issues, channelled through the medium of animation, film-making and journalism. I was invited to speak about my work on Green Future Media, as well as my recent package on the music industry and climate change for BBC Radio Ulster.

Thank you to Don Duncan, the current and past QUB MA Media and Broadcast Production cohorts and the team at SARC for inviting me to speak on this panel. The conversations were so enlightening and it was a real joy to see the unique pieces of work that everyone had created!

The event can be viewed below. My contribution begins at around 44:57.
